Accounting is the language of business, and since businesses have embraced technology as part of their business model, the way businesses apply accounting in their operations have drastically changed. The new norm in business is to lessen contacts with people and standardize processes with the aid of the computers and programs. Accounting process is no exemption to this change and the Accountants of today must be able to recognize the coming change that will affect our profession.
Since businesses have employed the aid of computers in processing their transactions, the threat of fraud and different schemes to take advantage of this system have emerged, accountants should also be aware of those threats that will impact the computer system of businesses.
