Mark is the founder & Managing Director of Powerhouseconsultants Company, a business advisory firm. He obtained meaningful experience in the financial audit of SMEs, including specialized entities and also involved in the IFRS review and financial reporting compliance of their foreign SME clients in East Timor, India and Singapore. He is also a CPA reviewer handling Financial Accounting & Reporting and Auditing. He is formerly a faculty member of various leading institutions of higher learning in the country. Mark graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Manila (PUP-Manila) with the degree of B.S. in Accountancy and obtained Master in Business Administration (MBA)-Top Executive Program at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Graduate School of Management. To date, Mark has an 8-year meaningful experience in the accountancy practice. He gained recognition steadily as resource speaker of various PICPA local chapters in the areas of financial statements preparation and reporting, relevant PFRSs and audit standards in the professional practice. In 2019, he was conferred as one of the “2019 Hero Accountants” by Moores Rowland, Philippines. In the same year also, he was nominated in the prestigious “Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela” of the Local Government of Valenzuela City. In 2018, he was one of the few Filipino recipients of “2018 International School Awards” held in Dubai. He is currently an active member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and a Director in PICPA Northern Metro Manila Chapter. He is also involved in various National Committees of PICPA. He is also a member of Philippine Association of Management Accountants (PAMA) and a founding member of Tax Help in the Philippines, Incorporated.
