Atty. Mercy Rebua-Aragon,
Securities Counsel at Securities and Exchange Commission

Atty. Mercy Rebua-Aragon is a CPA-lawyer and is presently the Securities Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission in its Tarlac Office. She has also served as Securities Examiner and Securities Investigator at SEC. Atty. Aragon has extensive training in the sphere of investment products and is an expert in the financial as well as legal investigations of investment scams. Part of her current functions at the Commission include imposing enforcement actions against erring corporate entities, supervising and monitoring of compliance of entities with SEC’s regulatory requirements, advising on legal matters, among others. Atty. Aragon is presently pursuing her Masters of Laws at San Sebastian College-Recoletos in Manila. She obtained her law degree at Tarlac State University. In the sphere of professional development, she has also lectured at PICPA MMR in Mandaluyong City. Part of her accolades include being awarded as the Most Outstanding Rural Banker in 2008. During her younger days, she was chosen as one of the 10 Outstanding Jose Rizal Students.
