This course is intended to guide CPAs as well as employees of different cooperatives on the tax exemptions of cooperatives in the Philippines. Cooperatives are covered with certain tax exemptions and this session will discuss the scope and limitations of these exemptions.

Resource persons from BIR will give the participants a brief refresher on the applicable taxation on cooperatives and how the BIR will go about its audit and investigation of the cooperatives. This is also a venue for the tax agents (CPAs and non-CPAs) to ask their questions relating to cooperatives from the BIR representatives.
