Now in his third term as the chief executive of the City of Valenzuela, Valenzuelanos felt the remarkable improvements in their lives.

The solid foundation of his public service is underscored by his governance platform known as the “Five Pillars of Good Governance”. It focuses on the essential needs of every Valenzuelano in Education, Health and Social Welfare Services, Housing, Economic Development and Livability.

Under his leadership, Valenzuela City has earned over a hundred awards and recognitions for his innovations in good governance. These are the affirmation of the city’s economic accountability, disaster preparedness, outstanding employment and micro-entrepreneurship development programs, timely health and social protection policies, sound implementation of peace and order advocacies, and commitment in making Valenzuela City a truly livable city.

As a result, the city of Valenzuela has become well-known in the field of governance excellence, not just across the country but also in the other parts of the world.

Leila Magda G. Rivera is a Certified Public Accountant and a lawyer. She is currently the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Finance of the Department of Tourism. She graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Magna Cum Laude, at Saint Louis University in 1997 and passed the CPA Licensure Exam in 1998.

In 2007, she finished her Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Cordilleras and passed the Bar Examinations in the same year. Her fields of specialization include Public Financial Management and Project Management.

Assistant Secretary Rivera has been a public financial management practitioner for the last 21 years, starting her time in the public service as Budget Analyst in the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
Prior to her secondment to the Department of Tourism as Assistant Secretary, Atty. Rivera worked as Deputy Imprest Administrator for a European Union-funded project for improving financial management of Local Government Units (LGUs), and was eventually appointed as the Director of the Local Government and Regional Coordination Bureau of the Department of Budget and Management, which administers the Allocations to Local Government Units, including the Internal Revenue Allotment, and formulates policies on public expenditure management.

Paolo Borromeo is a Managing Director of Ayala Corporation and a member of the Ayala Group Management Committee. He heads Ayala Corporation’s Corporate Strategy and Development Group, overseeing the group corporate planning process, portfolio strategy, innovation projects, data and analytics, new business development and special projects.

Paolo is also President and CEO of Ayala’s healthcare arm, AC Health. He is the Chairman of Healthway Philippines, IE Medica and MedEthix, and the Vice Chairman of Generika. He also sits on the board of various Ayala companies, including AC Industrials and AC Energy International.

Prior to joining Ayala, he was a Principal at Booz & Company, a strategy consulting firm, based in San Francisco, California. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University and his Master’s in Business Administration with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Edgar has more than 20 years of experience in engineering and construction. He established Megawide with co-founder Michael Cosiquien less than a year after graduating college. As founder and top executive, Edgar led the diversification of Megawide from a mid-size construction firm to a diversified engineering and infrastructure conglomerate.

From an P8 Billion revenue company in 2011, the year of its Initial Public Offering, Megawide's revenue has almost tripled, reaching P19 Billion as of end 2017, with assets growing more than six times to P54 billion from P8 billion during the same period. Ivlegawide's market capitalization increased from P2.29 billion on IPO date (Feb 2011) to around P42 Billion as of 10 2019.

Edgar continues to lead the creation and implementation of the overall strategic direction of Megawide. directing more than 4,000 employees nationwide. Edgar also personally heads Megawide's Research 2, Development in engineering.

Mr. Eugene T. Yap is an experienced hotelier for almost 4 decades and has been with the Hotel & Restaurant Association for more than 20 years.

A graduate of General Managers Program of Cornell University and also holding a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Business Administration from UST and a Bachelors Degree from School of Law from Manuel L. Quezon University

Mr Yap’s untiring efforts has strengthen the country’s ties with other Asean Hospitality Associations as well as maintaining a unified voice of the Industry with other sectors.

Mr. Yap is a lifetime member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, member of the Cornell Hotel Society, General Manager of Bayview Park Hotel and the current Chairman & President of HRAP and President of the Asean Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHRA)

Dr. Gia B. Sison is a practicing medical doctor specializing in Occupational Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas. She herself is a breast cancer survivor for almost four (4) years now and is currently the Philippine Leader for Livestrong Foundation and the National Adviser of the Youth for Mental Health Coalition. She is the former Chief Medical Officer of Global Telehealth Incorporated and a co-founder of #HealthXPh which promotes the responsible use of social media in healthcare amongst others. She was a previous project consultant to the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional Office on Health Lifestyle in the Workplace. She is currently the Head of Makati Medical Center’s Wellness Center. A Resource Speaker at various schools, companies , organizations and churches on mental and emotional health concerns across Philippines and in different countries like UAE, Spain, Guam, San Francisco, USA, Qatar and China. He had various educational trainings and experiences in the field of Psychology, Theology, Urban Missions , Education and Christian Counseling. He was a former Guidance Counselor at San Beda University and Every Nation Leadership Institute for a total of 7 years. He was also a former Head in the Minister’s Well Being of Victory Christian Fellowship of the Philippines.

Dr. Tito Almadin has been a Pastor and Professional Counselor for more than 35 years. Dr. Tito is also an Author of a book “Beyond Good Advice, your guide to bible based counselling” which sold over 2000 copies worldwide. He will have an upcoming book this year about Depression entitled “Beyond the Silence, helping someone cope with depression”. He is married to Carol for 25 years and has a 14 year old son named Ansel Keene.

Bo Sanchez is a bestselling author of more than 60 books. He’s founded many ministries that help the poorest of the poor, such as Anawim, a special home for the abandoned elderly, Grace to be Born, a center for pregnant women in crisis. Bo started a media ministry, a counseling ministry, and a community called Light of Jesus Family that’s found in 36 countries.
