SILVA is a full-time Accountancy professor of Saint Louis University for the past 21 years and the treasurer of the Baguio-Benguet Community Credit Cooperative for the past 3 years. He has been active in PICPA. At the Baguio-Benguet-Mt. Province Chapter, he served as chapter president in 2009 and currently as chapter sectoral director for education. At the National level, he was the Sectoral Director for Education and liaison director for the National Committee for Sustainability and Integrated Reporting for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. At present, he is a member of the PICPA National Committees on Membership Development, Professional Development, CPD Council and PICPA Academy. Moreover, he is the incumbent president of the National Association of CPAs in Education.
