Speakers
Our national president graduated Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in 1986. He finished Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Centro Escolar University and now a candidate for Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) at La Consolacion University of the Philippines.
After passing the CPA Board, he joined SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co., (SGV & Co.) CPAs, and he resigned after five (5) years. Together with two (2) of his colleagues from SGV, they organized Quilab Cabilin Bato & Co., (QCB & Co.) CPAs, a Regional Audit Firm based in Mindanao. In 2016, after almost twenty-five (25) years with QCB, he started his own firm known as Lope Laranjo Bato & Co., (LLB & Co.) CPAs together with five (5) of his senior managers as founding partners.
Our president has been in the practice of Public Accounting and Taxation since he became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as a Senior Auditor of SGV & Co., CPAs to Managing Partner of QCB & Co., CPAs and now as Chairman and CEO of LLB & Co., CPAs, a Member Firm of the “Leading Edge Alliance Global”, with head office in Cagayan de Oro City and eight (8) branches operating nationwide. In his almost thirty-three (33) years in the practice of Public Accounting and Taxation, he was able to obtain two (2) global certifications, namely, “Certified Forensic Accountant (CrFA) and Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA). While practicing his profession as a CPA under the banner of QCB & Co., CPAs, he concurrently led a Rural Bank based in Cagayan de Oro City for fifteen (15) years from 1997 to 2012 as its President and CEO.
Our president has been very active with his professional organization, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), having served in various capacities until he became the youngest Chapter President of PICPA Cagayan de Oro – Misamis Oriental Chapter in 1996 and National Vice-President for Public Practice (PICPA National) in 2009. He is likewise very active with the Association of CPAs in Public Practice (ACPAPP) having served as the Founding President of ACPAPP Northern Mindanao Chapter and as a Member of the ACPAPP National Board for two (2) terms. He was awarded, among others, Outstanding PICPA Member in 2006, Honorary Lifetime Member of PICPA in 2010, Outstanding MSU-IIT Alumnus (TOMA) in the field of Banking and Finance in 2009, and Most Outstanding Director of the Rotary of Club of Cagayan de Oro (Mother Club) in 2003.
Our president was again elected to PICPA National Board in 2019 as Regional Director representing Northern Mindanao Region and serves as the Executive Vice- President of PICPA up to June 30, 2020. Effective July 1, 2020, he assumes the office of the National President of PICPA for the fiscal year 2020-2021. Lyn is the founder and president of Angel John Integrated Academy (AJIA), a world-class academe in Sta. Maria Bulacan since 2006. AJIA, a government recognized institution, offers quality pre-school and K1 to K12 education at competitive tuition fee rates and affordable payment schemes.
Lyn is also teaching at the Graduate School Educational Management Program of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She is also teaching at the College of Accountancy of the same school. Lyn is an author of 21 books in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Management, Economics and Education. These books are used as textbooks and reference materials in many colleges and universities.
Lyn is also the president of BASIC Mentors Workplace, Inc., a real estate development company.
Lyn has been in accounting, auditing and computer services for 40 years now. She is the president and general manager of Business & Automated Systems Clinic, Inc., a company specializing in accounting, auditing and management consultancy services. Lyn is also the managing CPA of Ellinor Fua-Geronimo, CPAs, an auditing firm accredited by Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue and Board of Accountancy.
Lyn’s extensive audit and computer audit experience includes many major Companies and industries in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, and United States. Lyn started her career in well-known accounting firms, SGV & Co. and Punongbayan & Araullo. Lyn also served as consultant of Asian Development Bank in projects related to Securities and Exchange Commission and Philippine Stock Exchange.
Lyn is a graduate of Doctor in Educational Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She took up Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) major-Accounting, cum laude, also from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Lyn is married to Angelo Geronimo and is a proud mother to three boys: Allen, a CPA Lawyer; Adrian, a Medical Doctor specializing in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and Angel John who just graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas College of Accountancy.

Rufo R. Mendoza is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. He has a master’s degree in development management and a Ph.D. in Community Development and Agribusiness Management both from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
He was an Associate Professor at the Asian Institute of Management, where he was also the Chair of the Finance and Accounting Department and the Program Director of the Executive Master in Development Management, major in Public Finance. He had more than 20 years of teaching and administrative experience in the graduate school of leading universities in the Philippines: Academic Program Manager, Lecturer, and Head of Public Finance Cluster at the Ateneo de Manila University's School of Government (2005-2011); Professorial Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the UP Open University (2005-2013); Senior Lecturer at the University of Philippine Los Banos (1996-2003); and Graduate school professor at De La Salle Lipa (1996-2007). He is currently a Full Professor and the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities.
He was Senior Consultant in Public Financial Management (PFM) at the European Commission Technical Assistance for the Health Sector Policy Support Program (2008-2010); PFM Advisor at the Provincial Road Management Facility of the Australian Agency for International Development (2008-2012); and PFM Consultant in the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, and USAID. He was Consultant at the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission, Department of Health, Department of Budget and Management, and Department of Finance and in a number of local government units.
As a CPA, he was Vice-Chair (2011-2014) and Member (2007-2011) of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy, the highest body in the Accountancy profession and Chair of the Continuing Professional Development Council (2009-2014). For three years (2011-2014), he was the country’s delegate to the ASEAN Meetings of Professional Regulatory Authorities for the Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Accountancy Services and the country's delegate to the APEC Senior Officials Meeting in Accounting Services in the USA. He was a two-time national awardee as Outstanding CPA in Professional Development in 2008 and Outstanding CPA in Government Service in 2010 from the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also received the 2010 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and the 2008 Award for Natatanging Lipeño as an outstanding citizen from the City Government of Lipa.

Mau is currently a part-time faculty member at DLSU- Dasmarinas. Before this, she was Director for Learning & Development at KPMG, R.G. Manabat & Co and was also a former Dean of the College of Business at Malayan Colleges Laguna for ten years.
Mau, was a former member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Council (AASC). She was also a former Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) Member for Business and Accountancy of the Commission on Higher Education.
Mau started her career at Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A) in the nineties and has then moved to various fields of accounting.
Mau has been actively involved in various committees and chapter positions in PICPA, including PICPA Cavite Chapter President in FY 2010-2011. She is the Regional Sectoral Representative for Education of the Southern Tagalog Region for FY 2020-21.
Mau’s passion is learning and development. She has spent the majority of her career life as a teacher and trainer. She has been teacher in various schools and a speaker on audit, accounting and soft skills topics in various seminars and national conferences including those sponsored by the Council of Deans & Educators in Business for Region 4A (CODEB4A), PICPA chapters and the Association of CPAs in Public Practice (ACPAPP).
Mau has been a three-time national awardee for accounting & finance education. She was awarded as FINEX Most Outstanding Finance Educator in AY 2012-2013, PICPA Outstanding CPA in Education in 2012, and PICPA-ACPAE Accounting Teacher of the Year and winner of Best Technical Paper in 2001.
Mau is a certified life coach who specializes in happiness, mindfulness, and transformation.
