Minette is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of Bachelor of Arts, major in Economics, and Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Accounting, at the De La Salle University Manila in 1987. She landed the 12th place in the May 1988 CPA Board Exams. A native of Lucena City, Quezon, she finished her elementary and High School at Maryhill Academy, as class Salutatorian and Valedictorian, respectively. She has been in the field of Public Practice since 1988, being an audit staff at the SGV and Co., and, at present, a sole proprietor of her own firm, the M.I. Ame Accounting Office.
