Antonis Diolas

Antonis draws on extensive experience in auditing across different countries, and industries to ensure ACCA’s global profile in Audit and Assurance, and Business Law remains high.

A member of the ACCA Professional Insights team, Antonis engages at local and international level with key organisations - including HMRC, the UK’s Financial Reporting Council (FRC), BEIS, IAASB and Accountancy Europe - ensuring ACCA’s voice is heard.

Before joining ACCA, Antonis worked for Ernst & Young in London and the Channel Islands, specialising in auditing clients within the financial services industry.

He has also worked for KPMG Cyprus.

Atty. Marissa Cabreros

She is currently the BIR OIC DEPUTY COMMISSIONER FOR LEGAL GROUP and the Official Spokesperson for the Commissioner of Internal Revenue.

She has served the BIR in various work assignment in the Regional and National offices including the Enforcement Service, Large Taxpayers Service, Legal Service and now the Legal Group.

Atty. Alexander Cabrera

Alex, both a Certified Public Accountant and lawyer, is the Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC Philippines since 2013. His exposure in public practice lies in audit, tax, business advisory and legal services. He specializes in tax planning and business mergers and acquisitions.

He is currently a board member in PwC’s Southeast Asia Regional Consulting practice.

Before becoming Chairman and Senior Partner, he was Tax Managing Partner since 2006. He is the managing partner of Cabrera & Company, a law firm he founded in 2002.

Under his helm, PwC Philippines was recognized with an advanced rating in Integrity by Integrity Initiative, organized by the Makati business Club and European Chamber of Commerce.

Alex is a columnist of the Philippines’ leading print and digital newspaper, The Philippine STAR, with his “as easy as ABC” column published every Sunday which tackles legal, commercial and social issues.

Alex launched the Developmental Social Enterprise Awards in 2014 in partnership with BCYF that recognize, award and support developmental social enterprises. It aims to increase awareness on these businesses that help society and to help them scale up.

He spearheaded the Philippine Gems campaign, a nationwide search to identify the country’s next wave of tourist destinations. It is one of five Gold finalists in the 2014 Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards.

He likewise led Philippine Resiliency: a Gem Uncovered project that sought the insights of top Filipino CEOs in the Philippines. It won an Asian Publishing Award for the firm in 2010.

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants recognized him twice with an Outstanding CPA in Public Practice Award in 2015 and a Young Achiever in Public Practice Award in 1998.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration, which in 2006 named him as one of its outstanding alumni. He earned his Juris Doctor at the Ateneo de Manila University in 1994 and became a lawyer in 1995. Alex attended a leadership and management program at Harvard Business School in 2006. He is currently completing Wharton University’s CEO Global Transformation program.

He currently chairs the Educated Marginalized Entrepreneurs Resource Generation (EMERGE) program, an initiative of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) to fund and help selected marginalized entrepreneurs become successful. He earlier chaired the tax committee of MAP. He also chairs the Franchise Excellence Awards.

Atty. Lea Roque

Lea Roque is the Head of Tax Advisory and Compliance division. Lea has been in the tax practice for 22 years. Prior to joining P&A Grant Thornton in 2009, she was appointed Tax Director of Grant Thornton (Vietnam) Ltd., for two years.

Throughout her career, Lea has gained extensive experience in providing tax advisory services on direct international taxation, conducting studies on appropriate investment vehicles, and recommending the most tax-efficient corporate structures for investments and acquisitions. She has also been involved in tax due diligence work in connection with M&A activities; personal income tax advisory and planning; preparation of various opinions and analyses of tax issues; and dissemination of tax updates through the conduct of tax seminars.

Atty. Carlo Navarro

Carlo L. Navarro is currently Deloitte's SEA Transfer Pricing Leader and heads Deloitte's SEA Transfer Pricing Centre located in Manila, Philippines. He specializes in transfer pricing, international corporate restructuring and planning, cross-border taxation, and tax-effective supply chain transformations.

Before joining Deloitte, Carlo led transfer pricing and international tax practices of Big 4 firms around Southeast Asia. He has over 20 years of experience working in various jurisdictions in Southeast Asia as an International Tax and Transfer Pricing practitioner, giving him practical experience in dealing with Tax Authorities of these countries.

He has assisted clients in various phases of transfer pricing engagements, from planning, documentation and audit defense to negotiating APAs and MAPs. He has an excellent reputation in handling transfer pricing audits and bilateral negotiations.

As a recognized subject matter expert, he has published various articles in international tax journals, covering issues on permanent establishments, taxation and transfer pricing aspects of business restructuring, and the latest developments in the area of transfer pricing in Southeast Asia.

Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola

He is a Certified Public Accountant, an Industrial Engineer and an Environmental Planner. He also finished his doctoral degree leading to Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and was conferred as Diplomate in Business Education by the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business. He is a complete CPA who have had a little over four decades of professional experience and accomplishments. His Professional journey started in public practice when he joined SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.) - Cebu Branch as staff auditor. After SGV & Co., he shifted to Commerce and Industry as an Accountant at Eltra Asia/Pacific, Inc., an American company operating at Mactan Export Processing Zone. Motivated to pursue studies in Industrial Engineering as a company scholar, he finished his Engineering degree, and then went to Saudi Arabia and joined Sea-Land Service, Inc. where he served as Area Accountant. After four years, he came back to the Philippines and joined United Technologies Automotive Philippines, Inc. as Materials Manager. Two years later, he was promoted to the position of Plant Manager, which position he held for nine years. Thereafter, he decided to form his own consultancy firm, Quiñanola Consulting, which offered consultancy services in the areas of Accounting, Finance, and Industrial Engineering. As an academic, he taught part-time at the University of San Jose - Recoletos (USJ-R) after passing the CPA Licensure Exam at 19th place. This paved the way for his entry into the academe. At a later stage, he was designated as Director of the CPA Review Center, Comptroller and Graduate School Professor at USJ-R. Afterwards, he joined Southwestern University as President. In August 2018, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appointed him as Chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy. This completed his journey in the four areas of accountancy practice as he had been in public practice, commerce and industry, education and now in the government.

Atty. Emmanuel Artiza

Wilson Tan

He has extensive experience in financial audits for large companies in the banking, infrastructure, telecommunications, power generation and distribution, oil refinery, mining, construction, and manufacturing sectors. He is a recognized authority on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and performs financial accounting advisory and implementation, financial due diligence reviews, and structured transaction advisory, among others. He is the Chairman of the Philippine Interpretations Committee, which assists the Financial Reporting Standards Council of the Philippines in enhancing financial reporting standards in the country.
A graduate of the University of the East in Manila with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, summa cum laude, Wilson placed 12th in the 1987 CPA Board Examinations. He later obtained his Master of Business Administration from the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. He also attended the Pacific Rim Bankers Program – Foster School of Business, University of Washington.

Ramon Garcia

A born leader with more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and a marketing expert with superb skills in consultancy and trade, Ramon F. Garcia is on the top of his game in directing the company to a continuous journey for excellence. A graduate of Master in Business Administration in Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business, he has proved to be one of the bests in being diligent and effective on different fields of expertise that include taxation, auditing, finance, budgeting, strategic planning, and other business advisory services.

From being a consistent scholar during college to being a one-man accounting team, and now the highest overseer of his own company, he extends the reach of his network through sharing his knowledge and capabilities to various affiliations in the industry. A resource speaker and professional instructor, he served as the national president of Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice in 2004 and became the executive vice president of Philippine Marketing Association in 1996 to 1997. To date,
he is an incumbent council member of Auditing and Assurance Standards Council, a standard-setting group for auditing in the country.

Romualdo Murcia

Boyet Murcia is a Partner of the Assurance Division. Boyet has been in public accounting since 1997. He has gained extensive experience in the audit of local and multinational companies in various industries.

As a P&A Grant Thornton scholar, he participated in the International Student Exchange program of the Asian Institute of Management. He completed the last term of his graduate studies at the Amos Tuck School of Business in Darthmouth College in New Hampshire, USA. In 2012, Boyet was honored as Most Outstanding CPA in Public Practice by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also passed the Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst examination.
