    Atty. Willie Santiago is both a Lawyer and Certified Public Accountant.

    He is currently the Director of Tax & Corporate Services Division of Diaz Murillo Dalupan & Company.

    He is a regular lecturer at Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP), Asian Institute of
    Taxation, and Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for Lawyers at Alternative Center
    for Continuing Education and Seminar Solutions, Inc. (ACCESS).

    He is also invited to speak at Institute of Internal Auditors, University of Asia and the Pacific, Philippine Retailers Association, various chambers of commerce here and abroad, and various
    radio broadcasting.

    Atty. Willie represents clients before SEC as well as in courts as a litigator or acting as a litigation support in refund cases and assessments.

    Atty. Nelson S. Gargoles is a Lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant.

    He began his career with Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A) in the Audit & Assurance Division in 1991, where he worked with local and foreign companies from a wide range of industries. He then moved to the Tax Advisory & Compliance Division, where he handled business registrations and applications for tax refunds.

    In 1993, he moved to the private sector, working for an airline and shipping company as an internal auditor, and then for a bank as an audit supervisor. He was a former college professor at the Lyceum College of the Philippines and the University of the East, where he taught accounting and taxation subjects.

    He held the post of Revenue Examiner at the BIR for almost 15 years, where he conducted field audit investigation of tax cases; conducted lectures on the Bureau’s new issuances; processed dockets for the payment of capital gains tax, estate tax and donor’s tax for the issuance of Certificate Authorizing Registration; and prepared reports of investigation for the Assessment Division of the Regional Office, among other responsibilities. He was awarded a certificate of recognition for garnering the highest score (1st Place) in the 2004 Makati Regional Search for the BIR Centennial Tax Wizard.

    Atty. Gargoles rejoined P&A in 2011 and as a Tax Senior Manager he had extensive experience in a broad range of tax work, including providing tax opinion and advice, contesting tax assessments (handling more than 50 Assessment cases at a time) with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), submitting claims for tax refund from the BIR, preparation of income tax returns, performing tax compliance reviews, incorporation and other registration work with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies, and similar tax work.

    In September, 2013, Atty. Gargoles established his own firm (Gargoles Law Office) and enhanced the quality of services in various tax and corporate works, and added estate planning, transfer of ownership of properties through sale, donation and succession to the repertoire of his services. He is also a Resource Speaker in various events organizers, seminar providers and different associations lecturing topics in Managing Tax Assessments-Taxpayer’s Rights and Remedies, Income Tax and Latest Updates, Value Added Tax and other Percentage Taxes, Withholding Tax (Compensation, Fringe benefits, Expanded and Final Withholding Tax) and Estate Planning.

    Atty. Gargoles is now a regular guest in DWIZ discussing different aspects of Taxation every Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm for the program “In the Heart of Business” hosted by Ms. Marou Pahati Sarne and Ron Merk.

LOGIN RULES


Q: How do I login into the event?

A: Download the Zoom Application (free subscription will do). On the confirmation email that you will receive, click "Click Here to Join" link. You can login and wait to be let in anytime within the duration of the webinar or earlier, from up to 15 minutes before the event. Remember that your first login is captured by Zoom as your "time in" at the event.


Q: Can I pass on or transfer the webinar ID to someone else?

A: Note that your registration is NON-TRANSFERRABLE, NON-SHAREABLE. The confirmation email containing the webinar ID that you have received is associated with the PICPA-Glueup registered email that is yours alone.


Q: How can I assure that my attendance is accounted for?

A: The participant has to write his FULL NAME upon signing/logging in. Once inside the webinar, he/she must make sure of a strong internet connection. If ever disconnected, the participant will not be allowed to rejoin. As a final reminder, participant must make sure to validate attendance before exiting the seminar.


CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE


Q: Will all webinar attendees/participants get a Certificate of Attendance?

A: To be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance, participants must first satisfy these four requirements: (a) pre-registration, (b) attendance, (c) polls, and (d) video open (e)evaluation.

(a) Pre-registration in the PICPA-Glueup portal is required.

(b) Attendance: Zoom captures the "time in" of participants automatically. Only those who join the event not later than 15 minutes after its official start will qualify to receive the Certificate of Attendance.

(c) Polls – Poll questions flashed on the screen during the webinar should be answered. This serves as a monitoring tool to keep track of the participant's physical presence.

(d) YOUR VIDEO OPEN during the entire webinar. You are not allowed to turn-off or disable your video so that when a Monitor appointed by the CPD Council takes the screen shot, you are visible. The screen shot can be taken by the designated Monitor in three occasions at random during the session and those who are not captured in the screenshot will not earn any credit. No picture, no certificate.

(e) Evaluation – Participants need to accomplish the ZOOM Online Evaluation Form which is made available only after the Q&A portion.
