Chris Ferareza is a Partner of the Audit and Assurance Division, and the division’s Partner in Charge of Training and former Head of P&A’s branches. Chris has extensive experience in the audit of local and multinational companies in a wide range of industries. He has led high-profile due-diligence audits of international and local companies.
Before his elevation to partnership, Chris assisted in the Firm's Technical Standards Group for six years while performing his regular client servicing responsibilities.
Under P&A Grant Thornton's global secondment program, he spent two years in the United States, where he worked for the Chicago office of Grant Thornton USA. While there, Chris participated in one of the biggest financial reconstruction projects in the history of the US, involving one of the country's largest health-care providers.
Chris also taught accounting and auditing subjects for two years at one of the country's leading universities.

Ruth specializes in providing assurance and advisory services to companies in the Financial Services sector, in particular those in the banking, capital markets, insurance and investment management. She has also thorough experience handling entities in other business lines such as real estate, business process outsourcing, retirement plans, manning, manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations.
Ruth’s proficiency with multiple industries and sectors stems from her 11 years hands-on exposure on managing assurance relationships (both locally and overseas), providing advice on financial accounting and internal controls, and delivering pragmatic financial solutions to clients, including involvement in several due diligence reviews and capital raising transactions. She also played a key role in transitioning the audits of PwC’s key insurance and banking client groups.
Ruth gained extensive international exposure from her 26-month posting in PwC Australia (2010 to 2012) where she was promoted to senior manager a year after the commencement of her secondment. Her stint with PwC Australia allowed Ruth to further hone her expertise in financial services industry by leading a number of external and internal audit engagements for multinational companies. She also participated in PwC global engagement quality reviews conducted in PwC US, Philadelphia and Hartford offices.
Ruth’s technical competence comes with in-depth knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory requirements. She lectures on these topics for both local and international public seminars.
Ruth graduated at the top of her class (Rector’s Awardee/ Class Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude) with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas. She placed 14th on the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination. For further studies, Ruth completed the Building Value Course in Ateneo Graduate School of Business in June 2014, and the 89th Management Development Program in Asian Institute of Management in December 2015 with a ‘Superior Performance Award’. She is a member of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

LOGIN RULES
Q: How do I login into the event?
A: Download the Zoom Application (free subscription will do). On the confirmation email that you will receive, click "Click Here to Join" link. You can login and wait to be let in anytime within the duration of the webinar or earlier, from up to 15 minutes before the event. Remember that your first login is captured by Zoom as your "time in" at the event.
Q: Can I pass on or transfer the webinar ID to someone else?
A: Note that your registration is NON-TRANSFERRABLE, NON-SHAREABLE. The confirmation email containing the webinar ID that you have received is associated with the PICPA-GlueUp registered email that is yours alone.
Q: How can I assure that my attendance is accounted for?
A: The participant hasto write his FULL NAME upon signing/logging in. Once inside the webinar, he/she must make sure of a strong internet connection. If ever disconnected, the participant will not be allowed to rejoin. As a final reminder, participant must make sure to validate attendance before exiting the seminar.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
Q: Will all webinar attendees/participants get a Certificate of Attendance?
A: To be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance, participants must first satisfy these four requirements: (a) pre-registration, (b) attendance, (c) polls, and (d) evaluation.
(a) Pre-registration in the PICPA-GlueUp portal is required.
(b) Attendance: Zoom captures the "time in" of participants automatically. Only those who join the event not later than 15 minutes after its official start will qualify to receive the Certificate of Attendance.
(c) Polls – Poll questions flashed on the screen during the webinar should be answered. This serves as a monitoring tool to keep track of the participant's physical presence.
(d) Evaluation – Participants need to accomplish the ZOOM Online Evaluation Form which is made available only after the Q&A portion.
