Armed with a guy-from-the-province-kind-of-optimism, Clark took a large leap of fate and pursued life in a bigger city. Having earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Silliman University, Clark’s goals was to complement his knowledge with actual and hands-on audit experience. Clark honed his audit skills rising up to Associate Director level in a very short period of time with SGV.
Eventually, he moved to Malaysia to further sharpen his already growing resume to work for another Big 4 audit firm. He stayed in Malaysia for a period of time gaining more experience with privately held corporations and in various sectors. After his stint in Malaysia, Clark joined the leading accounting firm in the mid-tier market, BDO International Ltd.–Roxas Cruz Tagle and Co. as their Director for Quality Control Group and Risk Management.
Recognized as a high-potential executive, a year after joining BDO Roxas Cruz Tagle and Co., Clark’s career took a long jump as he was admitted to the partnership and now holds his current position. Clark also represents Roxas Cruz Tagle and Co. in the Philippine Interpretations Committee and Audit and Accounting Standards Committee, both committees are standard setters in Accounting and Auditing.
